ZOL Esports, the Philippine VALORANT team, secured second place at the APAC Predator League 2025 after a tough grand final loss to Alter Ego. The team, featuring newcomers Yousef “Hotsauz” El-Yousef and Emmanuel “Emman” Morales, defied expectations in Group D, defeating favorites BOOM Esports 13-7 in their decider match. Despite being the underdogs, ZOL made an impressive run, sweeping Xipto Esports 2-0 in the semifinals, including a dominant 13-0 map.
Though they fell short in the final, ZOL expressed pride in their performance. Franz Kevin “Kevzii” Dingal noted their progress, saying, “Even with a new roster and only two weeks of practice, we saw the team’s growth.” Looking ahead to the VALORANT Challengers SEA 2025, Emman remains confident, stating, “I believe we can win [VCT Challengers SEA].”
The VCT Challengers SEA 2025 Split 1 begins January 16.
