Bloomberry Resorts, the company behind Solaire, has announced Gregory Hawkins as its acting Chief Operating Officer (COO) following the retirement of Thomas Arasi. Hawkins, a seasoned executive with a wealth of experience in the gaming industry, steps into the role on an interim basis.
As detailed in a December 19th filing with the Philippine Stock Exchange, Hawkins officially took on his new responsibilities on Thursday. Prior to this, he had been managing Solaire Resort North in Quezon City, demonstrating his deep familiarity with Bloomberry’s operations.
The company confirmed that Hawkins has been appointed COO of its subsidiary, Bloomberry Resorts and Hotels Inc. (BRHI). In this capacity, he will oversee operations at both Solaire Entertainment City and Solaire North, continuing the work previously handled by Arasi.
Arasi’s departure as President and COO, attributed to personal reasons, was announced unexpectedly earlier in the week.
Hawkins brings a robust background in the casino and gaming sector. He served as Chief Casino Officer at Star Entertainment from 2019 to 2022 and was previously Managing Director of Star Sydney. Before joining Star Entertainment, he led Crown Resorts’ Melbourne casino as CEO and served as President of Melco’s City of Dreams in Macau.
