PH Resorts Group Holdings Inc. (PHR) has announced the resignation of Ms. Ma. Angela E. Ignacio from her role as an independent director.
According to the filing with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on November 5, 2024, Ignacio has accepted a new appointment as Undersecretary in the Office of the Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs. Her transition to this government role underscores her focus on enhancing investment and economic initiatives.
Headquartered in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, PH Resorts highlighted that Ignacio’s exit comes as the company engages in several major projects across the Philippines.
PHR, a part of the Udenna Group, specializes in luxury resort and casino developments, including the Emerald Bay Resort in Cebu and the Clark Resort in Pampanga. These projects are central to supporting the nation’s tourism-led economic recovery by attracting both domestic and international visitors.
Although Ignacio’s departure creates a vacancy on the board, PHR is expected to advance its extensive project pipeline. The company remains publicly listed, with over 7 billion shares in circulation, reflecting investor confidence amid industry challenges.
