G2E Asia Notes Rising Interest in the Philippines Among Gaming Suppliers

Gaming operators and suppliers are keen to explore the Philippines market, according to G2E Asia organizers, who highlighted the upcoming Macau event in May. As G2E Asia and the Asian IR Expo 2025 prepare for their May 7-9 dates in Macau, Reed Exhibitions (RX) Project Director Vera Ng discussed the decision to expand into the Philippines for the first time in six years.

In December 2025, RX will hold a two-day expo at the Manila Marriott Hotel in Newport World Resorts. Ng noted the rising interest in the Philippines, with many suppliers eager to enter the market. The event aims to offer a focused platform for Philippine-specific exhibitors, with around 50 participants expected.

While G2E Asia traditionally takes place in Macau, the event has adjusted over the years, with changes due to COVID-19 and a shift towards a stronger focus on integrated resorts (IR) and non-gaming sectors. This year, the event will be split between Macau and the Philippines, despite some concerns over competition from similar expos in the region.

Ng acknowledged the increased competition but emphasized G2E Asia’s unique positioning, supported by a solid network of land-based suppliers. The event will cater to both gaming and non-gaming sectors, with a greater emphasis on emerging technologies and integrated systems. Despite the focus on non-gaming elements, Ng assured that gaming remains a central part of the event, with even more space dedicated to it this year.

Looking ahead, Ng expressed confidence in G2E Asia’s future, citing continued growth, strong industry backing, and government support from Macau. She believes the event will remain a key platform for suppliers and operators, evolving to meet the industry’s changing needs.
