RGB Manila showroom to open in Q4

RGB International Bhd, a Malaysia-based supplier of casino electronic games and services, has launched a new showroom in Kuala Lumpur, the country’s capital. The company hosted an opening ceremony on August 27, as reported by Chuah Eng Meng, the senior vice president of sales services and marketing.

Mr. Chuah described the Kuala Lumpur showroom opening as a “significant milestone” for the company.

RGB also plans to launch a new facility in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, this quarter. This facility will include a new showroom, a training hub for customers, and a repair center, according to the company.

However, delays have postponed the opening of the Manila showroom to mid-fourth quarter, as told by Mr. Chuah. He added that despite the delay, the company has successfully opened a new Manila office, which also houses a repair center, all within the same premises.

The Manila facility, spanning about 700 square meters (7,535 square feet), is located near the Entertainment City casino zone. Its opening is part of RGB’s strategy to support regional expansion and ensure continued business growth in the coming years, as Mr. Chuah mentioned in a previous interview with GGRAsia.

Earlier this year, RGB was selected by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (Pagcor) to supply 1,968 electronic gaming machines (EGMs), which are expected to be delivered this month.

RGB reported a second-quarter profit of nearly MYR18.9 million (US$4.5 million) on revenue of MYR99.6 million. The company also announced a “second interim single-tier dividend” of MYR0.006 per share, to be paid on October 15.

Having casino equipment and suppliers open local offices in the Philippines would help support the casino industry by shortening maintenance and repair times on machines. Proper training would also result in generating local jobs as well.
