The promoter of Waterfront Manila Hotel & Casino in the Philippines, Acesite (Philippines) Hotel Corp., has pushed back the “updated timeline” for the conclusion of reconstruction on phase one to the “fourth quarter” of this year, according to a Thursday filing to the Philippine Stock Exchange.
In October, the company projected a tentative completion date for phase one of the reconstruction of the property, formerly known as Manila Pavilion, as May this year. The 2022 annual report of Acesite’s parent company, Waterfront Philippines Inc., noted that redevelopment work on the Manila casino-hotel property began in 2018 following a major fire.
In its Thursday filing, Acesite also provided other updated timelines for reconstruction. Phase two is now expected to conclude in the second quarter of 2025, and phase three is projected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2025. In its October filing, Acesite had mentioned timelines for phase two and phase three as January 2025 and May 2025, respectively.
It remains to be seen if the casino will also offer online gaming options to their players.
