LET Group Holdings Limited, through its subsidiary Suntrust Resort Holdings, is advancing its flagship 5-star hotel and casino project in Manila, Philippines.
Recent agreements with contractors EE Black and MDCC signify key developments in constructing the Westside City Phase 1 Project, located at the Manila Bayshore Integrated City in Parañaque.
EE Black, a U.S.-based firm, is responsible for designing, supplying, and installing floors, walls, ceilings, and finishes for the casino and VIP gaming areas. This contract is valued at PHP1.5 billion. Selected for its expertise in architectural, mechanical, and electrical works, EE Black has a strong track record in high-end resort projects.
MDCC, a Philippine-based construction firm, will manage the fit-out works for public areas, including the main lobby and VIP lounges. Their work includes installing partitions, built-in furniture, and other essential components, with a contract worth PHP426 million.
These contracts align with LET Group’s strategy to expand its presence in the Philippines’ growing gaming sector. With secured financing, the project is expected to significantly boost earnings once operational. The hotel and casino aim to open fully by 2025, catering to both domestic and international visitors.
LET Group anticipates a property, plant, and equipment increase of approximately PHP1.8 billion as part of the development. Despite some liquidity impacts, the company remains optimistic about its long-term prospects.
As construction progresses quickly, the agreements with EE Black and MDCC underscore LET Group’s commitment to delivering a world-class gaming and hospitality experience in Manila’s entertainment district. The project is expected to enhance the Philippines’ standing as a top casino tourism destination in Asia.
