The entrepreneur behind the Solaire Resort North casino complex in the Philippines confirmed the establishment will open in March 2024.
Enrique Razon, Chairman and CEO of Bloomberry Resorts Corp., shared this update during the company’s third-quarter earnings announcement in November. He stated that the construction team remains on track to complete the project by March 2024. The Philippine Star also reported the March opening, citing an interview with Razon.
Razon previously acknowledged in June 2020 that the Covid-19 pandemic delayed the project’s timeline. Despite the setback, Bloomberry pushed forward with development and now prepares to hire approximately 4,200 workers to run operations. The property will feature a hotel tower with 550 rooms and a gaming area equipped with up to 200 gaming tables and 3,000 slot machines.
Currently, Bloomberry operates the Solaire Resort and Casino in Entertainment City, Manila, as well as the Jeju Sun Hotel and Casino in Jeju, South Korea. The company also revealed plans to build a third integrated resort on Luzon—specifically in Paniman, Cavite—through a filing with the Philippine Stock Exchange in May 2022.
In Q3 2023, Bloomberry reported a 19.2% year-on-year rise in net income attributable to shareholders, totaling nearly PHP 1.86 billion (around US$33.4 million).
By launching another integrated resort and casino in northern Metro Manila, Bloomberry aims to attract players from that region. At the same time, the company positions the new property as a potential hub for its online gaming platform, enabling real-time streaming of casino action and expanding options for the growing online gaming market.
