Big news just hit the MPL Philippines scene—Team Falcons and Twisted Minds, two powerhouse Saudi Arabian esports organizations, have officially entered the spotlight for MPL PH Season 15. They now take over the franchise slots formerly held by Blacklist International and RSG PH, signaling a bold new era for the league.
Organizers unveiled the announcement during a press event in Makati City, where key representatives from both teams shared their enthusiasm about joining one of the world’s most competitive Mobile Legends: Bang Bang leagues.
Grant Rousseau, Global Director of Esports for Team Falcons, described how the team’s previous collaboration with AP.Bren gave them deep insights into the MPL PH ecosystem. “We spent the past year working closely with AP.Bren, which helped us truly understand how the league functions—from its passionate fans to its marketing and vibrant community,” Rousseau said. “Eventually, we fell in love with the energy here. That’s when we knew we had to go all-in and build something of our own in the Philippines.”
Ibrahim Bin Jibreen, CEO of Twisted Minds, echoed that excitement. “We’ve always had plans to expand globally—especially in Asia,” he said. “And clearly, the Philippines stood out. It has not only the most skilled MLBB talent but also the most passionate fans we’ve seen. It was an obvious choice.”
Both Team Falcons and Twisted Minds will field all-Filipino rosters, underscoring their commitment to nurturing local talent and fully integrating into the community.
Meanwhile, Matthew Chan, Head of Esports Operations for the Philippines at MOONTON Games, gave the newcomers a warm welcome. “We feel thrilled to welcome Team Falcons and Twisted Minds into MPL PH,” Chan said. “Their arrival marks a major step forward in developing our league and strengthening the esports ecosystem. Moreover, it shows the world that the Philippines has become a global destination for esports investment.”
Rousseau also revealed that Team Falcons plans to invest beyond just the gameplay. “We didn’t come here just to compete,” he said. “We plan to build a proper training facility, create jobs, and invest in long-term community development. The Philippines offers the perfect landscape for those ambitions.”
