DigiPlus Interactive Corp. continues to expand its global footprint as it moves aggressively into Brazil’s newly regulated iGaming market. This strategic push targets one of Latin America’s most promising and fastest-growing gaming sectors.
On Thursday, the company disclosed to the Philippine Stock Exchange that its subsidiary, DigiPlus Brazil Interactive Ltda., passed the qualification phase under Brazil’s Ministry of Finance’s Secretariat of Awards and Bets (SPA). This approval places DigiPlus in the final stage of securing a federal license.
Now, DigiPlus must meet additional regulatory requirements within the next 30 days. These include obtaining platform certification and paying the required licensing fees. After the company completes these steps, SPA will publish the final list of approved operators.
This final list is expected to come out before January 1, 2025—the official date when Brazil will open its regulated iGaming market.
Once approved, DigiPlus will begin offering online sports betting and other iGaming services in Brazil. The country, with over 200 million people and rapidly growing interest in legal betting, presents a significant growth opportunity.
“We are excited to bring DigiPlus’ expertise in responsible and innovative gaming to Brazil,” said Eusebio Tanco, Chairman of DigiPlus Interactive Corp. “As we move closer to completing the licensing process, we feel confident about meeting Brazil’s regulatory requirements. At the same time, we look forward to delivering exceptional gaming experiences to this dynamic and competitive market.”
Tanco also highlighted that DigiPlus remains firmly anchored in the Philippines. Despite its international ambitions, the company considers the Philippines its primary base of operations.
This expansion aligns with DigiPlus’ broader international strategy. The company continues to seek entry into markets that offer stable, transparent, and well-regulated iGaming frameworks. Brazil’s new iGaming laws provide precisely that kind of environment. Consequently, DigiPlus sees the market as ideal for its next phase of growth.
Moreover, the company views Brazil not just as a commercial opportunity but also as a key testing ground for scaling its digital platforms. DigiPlus intends to apply its Philippine-tested operational strategies in this new, much larger market.
As it prepares for launch, DigiPlus is already working on system integration, platform compliance, and localized operations. These preparations aim to ensure a smooth rollout in early 2025 while maintaining high standards for security, user experience, and responsible gaming.
By expanding into Brazil, DigiPlus strengthens its position as a leading Asian gaming firm with global aspirations. The move also reaffirms its long-term commitment to entering regulated markets and delivering trusted entertainment solutions to new audiences.
