Greg Hawkins Named Official COO of Bloomberry Resorts Corp.

Greg Hawkins has stepped into the role of acting Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the entire Bloomberry Resorts Corporation casino portfolio, marking a strategic shift within the company’s leadership. Known for his extensive experience in the gaming industry, Hawkins now oversees operations across Bloomberry’s integrated resorts, including the flagship Solaire Resort and Casino in Entertainment City, Manila.

This move follows his successful tenure as Solaire’s property president, a position he continues to hold as he takes on broader operational responsibilities. According to a regulatory disclosure filed with the Philippine Stock Exchange, Hawkins’ appointment became effective July 1. He succeeds Thomas Arasi, who previously held the group COO position while also serving as president and COO of Bloomberry subsidiary Sureste Properties Inc.

While Arasi stepped down from both posts at the end of June, he remains an advisor to the company, signaling a smooth transition within the executive team. Hawkins’ expanded role reflects Bloomberry’s confidence in his leadership as the company aims to strengthen its operations amid growing competition in the Philippine casino market and broader Asia-Pacific region.

This leadership update comes as Bloomberry continues to invest heavily in its expansion, including the soon-to-open Solaire Resort North in Quezon City. Hawkins’ proven track record in resort operations and customer experience positions him well to guide Bloomberry through its next phase of growth.

Overall, his appointment as acting COO highlights the group’s focus on aligning its executive leadership with its long-term business strategy. With Bloomberry positioning itself to capitalize on the post-pandemic tourism rebound and rising demand for premium integrated resorts, Hawkins’ dual role is set to play a critical part in maintaining operational excellence across all properties.
