Newport World Resorts, in collaboration with the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), has donated PHP 10 million worth of motorcycles to the Philippine National Police (PNP). This meaningful contribution reflects the gaming operator’s ongoing commitment to public safety and community partnership.
The donation includes 18 brand-new Honda CB500F motorbikes. It also comes with allocated funding for fuel and maintenance to support the mobility and readiness of the police force. These resources will directly support the day-to-day patrol operations of the PNP. More importantly, they will help ensure quicker response times and stronger police visibility in key areas.
The initiative focuses on enhancing law enforcement presence in Pasay City and Parañaque City. These are two critical zones where Newport World Resorts actively operates. By equipping officers with high-performance motorcycles and logistical support, the company aims to help the PNP become more agile and responsive in the field.
PAGCOR played a pivotal role in facilitating this initiative. The agency sees strong partnerships between gaming operators and law enforcement as essential to public order. This is especially important in areas with high foot traffic, such as the Entertainment City district of Metro Manila. Strengthening patrol efforts in the Pasay-Parañaque corridor supports public trust and ensures better community safety.
Kingson Sian, President and CEO of Newport World Resorts, expressed appreciation for the opportunity to contribute to law enforcement. He emphasized that this project is not a one-time gesture but part of a broader, long-term commitment to the communities where the company operates. “Public safety is essential to vibrant communities and thriving tourism,” Sian said. “As a stakeholder in Entertainment City, we believe in empowering law enforcement so they can continue to serve and protect effectively.”
This partnership highlights the vital role licensed and regulated gaming operators play in national development. Beyond generating tax revenues, companies like Newport World Resorts consistently support local improvement programs. These include efforts tied to public safety, infrastructure, and social responsibility.
Newport World Resorts also operates its own members-only online gaming platform. Creating a safe and secure environment around its operations ensures a better experience for both the business and its players. It also enhances public perception and player trust.
As the Entertainment City district continues to grow and attract millions of visitors annually, initiatives like this become even more critical. They reflect the value of private-public cooperation in shaping safe, vibrant, and resilient urban environments. By working closely with PAGCOR and the PNP, Newport World Resorts helps foster a more secure and welcoming space for both residents and tourists.
