PAGCOR Bloomberry ASEAN Gaming Summit 2024

Chairman Alejandro H. Tengco of PAGCOR and Thomas Arasi, President and COO of Bloomberry Resorts Corp., will headline the 6th ASEAN Gaming Summit, scheduled from March 19 to 21, 2024. Tengco will open the summit with a State of the Industry Address, while Arasi will deliver the keynote speech on the morning of March 19—just as excitement builds around the upcoming launch of Solaire Resort North in Quezon City this May.

Moreover, the summit will feature a high-level C-Suite panel led by Pronet Gaming CEO Alex Leese. He will join forces with industry leaders Michael Charlton and Simon Lidzén for an in-depth discussion. Additionally, the focus will remain on the Philippines as Hakan Dagtas, COO of Newport World Resorts, leads the operators’ panel on Wednesday afternoon, March 20.

The event will also include a fireside chat with Walter Power, CEO of The Grand Ho Tram Resort & Casino, as well as a presentation from CEZA Administrator and CEO Katrina Ponce Enrile. Furthermore, Evan Spytma, CEO of Hotel Stotsenberg, will examine the rise of Remote Gaming Licensees as potential replacements for PIGOs.

Designed to consolidate industry presence in Southeast Asia, the ASEAN Gaming Summit encourages dialogue among top executives, distributors, manufacturers, and regulators to drive mutual growth.

Luis Pereira, Managing Director of Asia Gaming Brief, expressed strong interest in Chairman Tengco’s updated insights, especially one year after his first industry address. He also emphasized the strength of the Philippine market and its impact on regional gaming growth.

In addition, Pereira thanked forward-thinking companies such as Pronet Gaming—this year’s title partner—and other sponsors for supporting the summit’s sixth edition.

The steady stream of major gaming conferences in the Philippines clearly reflects the country’s openness to developing both land-based and online gaming sectors. With several more events lined up this year, the Philippines stands ready to showcase its appeal as a top destination for gaming business in Asia.
