The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) recently launched a PHP30 million relief operation for families affected by recent tropical storms. Once again, PAGCOR delivers aid to thousands of Filipinos in disaster-stricken areas.
The agency directly handed out food and essential goods to over 10,000 households. It focused on hard-hit areas like Quezon, Rizal, Pampanga, Bataan, Zambales, and Bulacan. Moreover, PAGCOR extended help to communities in Metro Manila that faced storm damage.
To speed up distribution, PAGCOR coordinated with several partners. These included the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and local government units (LGUs). This approach ensured that assistance reached families faster and more efficiently.
In total, PAGCOR delivered PHP30 million worth of food packs. Each pack included rice, canned goods, instant noodles, coffee, and drinking water. These items provided immediate relief to displaced families recovering from the storm’s impact.
PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco reaffirmed the agency’s readiness to help in times of crisis. He stressed that PAGCOR delivers aid not just as a gaming regulator but also as a reliable partner in national disaster response.
Beyond regulating the casino industry, PAGCOR remains dedicated to public service. Its quick action in this relief drive highlights its growing role in supporting vulnerable communities across the country.
By responding swiftly and working with local partners, PAGCOR delivers aid where it’s needed most. With PHP30 million in relief goods deployed, the agency shows that its mission goes far beyond gaming—it stands firmly with the Filipino people in times of need.
