PAGCOR H1 2025 net income surged by 64% year-on-year, hitting PHP11 billion (approximately US$188 million). This sharp rise highlights the ongoing recovery of the Philippine gaming industry, which continues to rebound after years of pandemic-related slowdown.

Between January and June, PAGCOR posted PHP36 billion in total revenue—a 35.6% jump from the same period in 2024. A major portion of that, PHP34.1 billion, came directly from gaming operations. These figures clearly show the strength of both land-based and licensed online gaming activities across the country.

In addition to profit gains, PAGCOR ramped up its contributions to national development. It transferred PHP22.5 billion to various government agencies and socio-civic projects. That’s a 34.6% increase year-on-year, further proving the vital role the agency plays in public funding.

Chairperson Alejandro Tengco attributed PAGCOR’s strong financial performance to growing private sector engagement. He pointed to the success of integrated resorts and the rapid expansion of licensed eGames as major growth drivers. On top of that, PAGCOR’s digitalization efforts continued to boost operational efficiency and reinforce transparency across its systems.

Looking forward, PAGCOR remains committed to modernizing its services. The agency also plans to expand digital infrastructure while maintaining its mandate to support national progress through gaming revenue. As the numbers show, PAGCOR H1 2025 net income reflects more than just profit—it signals a maturing, tech-driven Philippine gaming market with long-term economic impact.
