PAGCOR Ilocos Norte Support

PAGCOR brought essential health services and aid to over 3,000 residents during its Bawat Buhay Mahalaga Serbisyo Caravan. The event took place from November 29 to 30 at the Ilocos Norte Centennial Arena. With this large-scale outreach, PAGCOR once again expanded its ongoing commitment to grassroots support and public health across the nation.

For two consecutive days, the caravan consistently delivered a wide range of free services to local communities. Residents received medical consultations, prescription medicines, food packs, and other crucial support items. These collective efforts not only improved health access but also brought much-needed relief to many families.

As part of the event, PAGCOR also donated Php50 million worth of aid to Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc. The donation included bicycles for barangay patrols and GoBags packed with essential first aid supplies. In addition, PAGCOR provided wheelchairs, walking canes, cot beds, reading glasses, and assorted medicines for vulnerable residents.

To further support community livelihood, PAGCOR raffled off 45 starter packages to qualified participants during the event. Moreover, the agency pledged to deliver medical equipment by early next year to strengthen local healthcare capacity. This includes 2D echo machines, portable ventilators, and monitoring devices for glucose, cholesterol, and uric acid.

Going beyond health and livelihood efforts, PAGCOR also introduced new educational grants under its Ayudang Hatid ay Tagumpay program. The agency will determine the number of scholars in close collaboration with the provincial government. In doing so, PAGCOR ensures the program aligns with real educational needs and local priorities.

Ramon Stephen Villaflor, head of PAGCOR’s Corporate Social Responsibility Group, highlighted the broader goal behind the caravan initiative. “Through the Bawat Buhay Mahalaga Serbisyo Caravan, we aim to make essential services more accessible nationwide,” he said. “After launching this program in Bulacan last year, we’re excited to bring it to Ilocos Norte as well.”

“Furthermore, we plan to extend this initiative to the Visayas and Mindanao in the coming months,” Villaflor added.

Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc expressed gratitude and praised PAGCOR for its timely and meaningful contribution. “Our heartfelt thanks go to PAGCOR, Chairman Al Tengco, and President Bongbong Marcos Jr.,” he said. “This marks our first collaboration of this scale with PAGCOR, and we see great potential moving forward.”

“We look forward to building a strong and lasting partnership that truly benefits our communities,” he added.

As the caravan wrapped up its Ilocos Norte leg, PAGCOR began preparing for its next round of outreach. Through sustained support and long-term engagement, the agency continues to bring not just aid—but also hope, opportunity, and national development.
