PAGCOR Patient Transport Vehicle Donation

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) turned over a new batch of emergency transport vehicles to five local government units and institutions, continuing its support for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s push to provide all LGUs with patient transport vehicles (PTVs).

This latest donation went to the municipality of Benito Soliven in Isabela, San Pedro City in Laguna, the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), Ospital ng Parañaque, and the Joint Task Force Unit Ilocos (JTUI) Headquarters.

PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco said the initiative aims to boost the emergency medical and disaster response capabilities of LGUs, public institutions, and security units. “Every PTV we deliver brings us closer to a future where all Filipinos can access urgent medical care,” Tengco said.

San Pablo City Mayor Art Mercado noted that the donated vehicle will improve the city’s emergency services, especially in underserved areas. “This unit could help save countless lives in our most vulnerable communities,” he said.

Former Congressman Gus Tambunting also welcomed the donation to Ospital ng Parañaque, pointing out its value in handling critical cases that require fast hospital transfers. “This PTV gives us the means to act swiftly when minutes matter,” he said.

At PUP, where thousands of students converge daily, the emergency vehicle adds a vital layer of safety. Dr. Anna Ruby Gapasin emphasized its importance during health emergencies on campus, saying it could mean the difference between life and death.

Joint Task Force Unit Ilocos’ 2nd Lt. Cassay Marie Chua said the new transport vehicle will play a crucial role in their operations. “It strengthens our ability to support both troop welfare and disaster response, especially during typhoons and emergencies,” she said.

Since launching the program in February, PAGCOR has donated 35 PTVs to local governments, public hospitals, and frontline agencies to help ensure faster, safer medical transport nationwide. Alongside PAGCOR, the Office of the President and the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office are also rolling out PTVs across the country.
