Bloomberry Resorts Corp, a publicly listed company in the Philippines, officially launched Solaire Resort North on May 25 in Quezon City, northeast of Manila. This new US$1.0-billion integrated casino complex marks the company’s second major development under the Solaire brand.
The resort features 526 rooms and suites. It also includes 2,669 electronic gaming machines and 163 gaming tables, all spread across four vibrant levels. Bloomberry confirmed that VIP gaming operations will begin in early September. Additionally, the company scheduled the grand opening for the evening of September 8.
A spokesperson for Bloomberry clarified that the company has not yet finalized the exact number of tables for the VIP areas. These gaming spaces will occupy the resort’s 36th and 37th floors.
On Wednesday, Bloomberry released its second-quarter earnings report. The company posted a consolidated net income of nearly PHP1.34 billion. It also recorded an EBITDA of almost PHP3.64 billion. However, these figures reflected a 26.2 percent drop from the previous quarter and a 33.4 percent decline compared to the same period last year.
Despite the broader earnings dip, Chairman and CEO Enrique Razon expressed confidence in Solaire Resort North’s momentum. He noted that the property delivered a positive EBITDA of PHP250 million during its first 37 days of operations. Within that short time, the resort also posted a mass table drop of PHP2.25 billion. It registered nearly PHP10.38 billion in slot coin-in, contributing significantly to the second-quarter results.
In a related development, Bloomberry announced a new annual dividend policy. This initiative aims to enhance long-term shareholder value. Moreover, the company stated that Solaire Resort North will continue to ramp up operations. As it does, it is expected to further strengthen the group’s overall cash flow in the coming quarters.
Solaire has consistently ranked as one of the top-performing brands in the Philippine land-based casino sector. With its expansion into Quezon City, Bloomberry now targets a northern Metro Manila market that remains largely underserved. Many residents in this area had limited access to gaming venues due to distance or traffic congestion when traveling to Entertainment City.
By entering this strategic location, Bloomberry effectively positions Solaire Resort North as a new hub for premium entertainment and gaming. As a result, the company not only strengthens its brand footprint but also unlocks fresh revenue streams in a fast-growing urban corridor.
