Bloomberry Resorts Corp. confirmed that Solaire Resort North in Quezon City will reach full operational capacity by 2026. Chairman and CEO Enrique Razon shared the update during the company’s recent stockholders’ meeting, stating that the property should fully ramp up within two years.
Bloomberry first opened Solaire Resort & Casino in Entertainment City, Manila in 2013. It also operates Jeju Sun Hotel & Casino in South Korea.
Razon added that the company will focus on ramping up Solaire Resort North before launching other projects, including Phase 2 of Solaire Manila and a new casino in Paniman, Cavite. He explained that timelines will depend on market conditions, and that Bloomberry will only push forward once both Solaire properties meet cash flow expectations.
The Philippine economy supports this optimism. Government projections show 6 to 7 percent growth in 2024 and 6.5 to 7.5 percent in 2025, creating a favorable backdrop for expansion.
In March, Bloomberry reaffirmed Solaire North’s May opening. The US$1 billion resort spans 1.5 hectares, rises 38 stories, and features 526 upscale rooms, 2,669 electronic gaming machines, and 163 tables across four casino levels.
Maybank Securities noted that Solaire North could contribute 9 percent of Bloomberry’s 2024 gross gaming revenue and up to 14 percent in 2025.
Establishing a resort outside Entertainment City helps ease traffic congestion while giving northern Metro Manila easier access to a luxury casino experience. As tourism and demand grow, Solaire North plays a vital role in Bloomberry’s long-term growth strategy.
