PCSO 90th Anniversary

To mark its 90th anniversary this Wednesday, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) will raise the minimum jackpot for all its major lottery games to PHP90 million ($1.55 million).

Beginning Tuesday, players of Lotto 6/42, SuperLotto 6/49, and UltraLotto 6/58 will immediately see the new minimum prize level in effect. By Wednesday, MegaLotto 6/45 and GrandLotto 6/55 will also adopt the higher jackpot threshold.

PCSO confirmed that existing jackpots already exceeding PHP90 million will remain untouched and continue to grow as usual. However, if any jackpot sits below PHP90 million on the draw dates, the agency will use its prize fund to match the difference.

Once a player wins a boosted jackpot, the game will revert to its regular prize levels. This move, according to PCSO, forms part of its celebratory efforts to reward loyal players and increase excitement nationwide.

PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles explained the agency’s intent. “We feel thrilled to celebrate our 90th anniversary and thank our players for their continued support,” he said. “This promotion reflects our deep commitment to providing not only entertainment but also hope and direct assistance to Filipinos.”

As a state-run entity, PCSO conducts sweepstakes, races, and lotteries to fund health and social welfare programs. Moreover, it plays a critical role in raising revenue for public service initiatives.

Pacific Online Systems Corporation currently manages the digital infrastructure for PCSO, including its application and e-lotto versions. As a result, Filipinos can access PCSO games more easily through secure online platforms.

With this jackpot increase, PCSO continues to inspire optimism among millions of Filipinos. The 90th anniversary celebration represents not just a historical milestone, but a renewed pledge to serve communities through both innovation and tradition.
