PCSO

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) shattered records in 2024 under the leadership of General Manager Mel Robles, driving a massive surge in sales and creating two new millionaires in back-to-back days. In a historic week, Robles led the agency in awarding PHP1.4 billion in prizes within just 48 hours.

“This is what we want—to bring hope and joy to our bettors so they continue patronizing and trusting our games at the PCSO,” said Robles. “The more people engage with our games, the more assistance we can give to fellow Filipinos in need. As I always emphasize, more bets lead to expanded charitable services.”

Robles issued this statement after a solo bettor won PHP698.8 million in the Grand Lotto 6/55 draw on January 17. Remarkably, this jackpot followed another life-changing win on January 16, when a lone player took home PHP640.65 million by selecting the numbers 26-33-14-48-06-42 in the Super Lotto 6/49 draw.

In addition to these massive payouts, the PCSO also drew more participants, hitting an extraordinary PHP265 million in one-day sales on January 16. That figure marked the agency’s highest daily sales total in more than five years, surpassing even the October 14, 2018 mark when a PHP1.18 billion prize pool attracted record bets.

On December 16, 2023, Robles launched the Handog Pakabog promo, boosting the guaranteed jackpot prize for Ultra Lotto 6/58 and Grand Lotto to PHP500 million. The Ultra Lotto 6/58 game reached a peak jackpot of over PHP571 million on December 29, making it the biggest prize of 2023.

By year-end, PCSO raised the Super Lotto 6/49 jackpot to PHP500 million and increased the minimum prizes for Lotto 6/42 and Mega Lotto 6/45 to PHP100 million each. On January 2, three lucky winners shared a Lotto 6/42 prize of over PHP108 million. A few days later, on January 8, two bettors split a Mega Lotto 6/45 jackpot worth more than PHP121.8 million.

With rising prize pools, stronger promos, and surging sales, the PCSO clearly taps into a growing and enthusiastic market for lottery games in the Philippines.
