RGB International Bhd, a Malaysia-based supplier of casino electronic games and services, has launched a new showroom in Kuala Lumpur. The company chose the country’s capital for this expansion. It hosted an opening ceremony on August 27, according to Chuah Eng Meng, the senior vice president of sales services and marketing.
Mr. Chuah described the Kuala Lumpur showroom opening as a significant milestone for the company. He emphasized its importance in strengthening RGB’s presence in the region.
In addition to the Malaysia showroom, RGB also plans to launch a new facility in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, within this quarter. This upcoming facility will feature a new showroom. It will also include a training hub for customers and a dedicated repair center, as stated by the company.
However, due to unforeseen delays, the Manila showroom opening has been pushed to the middle of the fourth quarter. Despite this setback, the company has already opened a new Manila office within the same location. This office currently houses a fully operational repair center, as confirmed by Mr. Chuah.
The Manila facility spans approximately 700 square meters, or around 7,535 square feet. It sits near the Entertainment City casino zone. RGB sees this location as strategic. The opening supports its regional expansion goals. It also strengthens long-term business growth, according to Mr. Chuah in a previous interview with GGRAsia.
Earlier this year, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (Pagcor) selected RGB to supply 1,968 electronic gaming machines (EGMs). The company expects to complete delivery of these units within the month.
RGB reported a strong second-quarter performance. It posted a profit of nearly MYR18.9 million (US$4.5 million), with revenue reaching MYR99.6 million. The company also declared a second interim single-tier dividend of MYR0.006 per share. It will distribute the payout on October 15.
Establishing local offices in the Philippines gives casino equipment suppliers like RGB a key advantage. It significantly shortens maintenance and repair times for machines. Moreover, creating a proper training hub leads to new job opportunities for Filipinos. This approach helps strengthen the local casino industry’s workforce and infrastructure.
