ShopeePay is Shopee’s official in-app e-wallet regulated by Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and is one of the most popular mobile wallet brands in Southeast Asia. The brand is part of Shopee, a leading ecommerce company in the region. ShopeePay is the subsidiary of Singapore-based tech conglomerate Sea limited. Launched in 2018, ShopeePay has been expanding its presence across geographies and now available in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines, serving over 30 million users.
ShopeePay allows users to make all types of payments including online payments, in-store payments, and utility bill payments for the likes of electricity and water. In addition, it also supports P2P fund transfers by using the recipient’s mobile phone number or ShopeePay username.
Users can make payments using their ShopeePay wallet balance as well as from linked bank accounts. Users can top up their wallet balance using different payment methods including debit cards, credit cards, and bank accounts.
